The Hot Ingredient Warning

Never Grind These Hot

Hot ingredients create steam inside the jar. Steam pressure builds rapidly and can exceed the gasket's sealing force — causing the lid to pop off suddenly. Always allow hot ingredients to cool to room temperature before grinding.

The "2-Inch Rule"

A simple rule that eliminates lid leakage in 90% of cases: always leave at least 2 inches (5cm) of empty space between the top of the ingredients and the lid.
